V: Lord, grant her eternal rest;
R: And let the perpetual light shine upon her.

V: Guide me with your counsel,
R: Then receive me to glory.

Psalm 73:24

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want;
he makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the
Valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil; for you are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare table before me
In the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil,
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.
Psalm 23

R: Guide me with your counsel,
Then receive me to glory.

V: Lord, grant her eternal rest;
R: And let the perpetual light shine upon her
.

V: As a deer longs for running waters
R: So my soul longs for you my God

Psalm 42:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High,
Who abides in the shadow of the Almighty,

Will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress;
My God, in whom I trust."

For he will deliver you from the snare of the
Fowler and from the deadly pestilence;

He will cover you with his feathers,
And under his wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

You will not fear the terror of the night,
Nor the arrow that flies by day,
Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
Ten thousand at your right hand;
But it will not come near you.

You will only look with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.

Because you have made the LORD your refuge,
The Most High your habitation,
No evil shall befall you,
No scourge comes near your tent.

For he will give his angels charge of you
To guard you in all your ways.

On their hands they will bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and the adder,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample under foot.

Because he cleaves to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.

When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble, I will rescue him and honor him.

With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him my salvation.
Psalm 91

V: As a deer longs for running waters
R: So my soul longs for you my God

V: Lord, grant her eternal rest;
R: And let the perpetual light shine upon her

Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
1 Cor 15;12, 20-26

V: I am the resurrection and the life; she who believes in me,
R: Though she die, yet shall she live, whoever lives and believes in me shall never die
John 11:25-26
Lord, now let your servant depart in peace,
According to your word;
For my eyes have seen your salvation
Which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
A light for revelation to the Gentiles,
And for glory to thy people Israel.
Luke 3:32
V: I am the resurrection and the life; she who believes in me,
R: Though she die, yet shall she live, whoever lives and believes in me shall never die

V: Lord, grant her eternal rest;
R: And let the perpetual light shine upon her
